Sports Visas for International Students - Sherrod Seward hosts seminar with University of the Incarnate Word

For Immediate Release

On March 2, 2019, Sherrod Seward of Sports Visas USA hosted a seminar with students at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. The seminar was arranged by the university's international office for student athletes. During this seminar, Sherrod discussed immigration options for graduating student athletes and answered all of their great question

“It is a tough time to obtain an employment based visa such as H-1B,” partner, Sherrod Seward says. “P-1 and O-1 visas may be an excellent option for athletes and coaches that have already participated as college student athletes.”

It is becoming increasingly difficult for international students to obtain visa sponsorships from employers upon graduation from college. IF they are still planning to train or compete in their sport, the P-1 or O-1 visa can be obtained upon completion of graduation so the student can continue in the United States.

Moving forward, Sherrod Seward will continue to educate college students and advisers about P-1, P-1S, O-1, and permanent residence cases for athletes from all over the world. The next seminar is March 30, 2019 and available on live stream. Email sherrod@qcilaw.com for more details.
