For Immediate Release -

Charlotte, NC, USA (February, 2019)  –

Charlotte based Queen City Immigration Law is pleased to announce successful P-1S visa petitions for Salita Promotions based  in Brooklyn, NY. Salita Promotions is founded by Dimitry Salita who is a former world championship level professional boxer. During his career, Dimitry Salita, amass a record of 38-2 with 18 knockouts, and challenged for the WBA Welterweight title as one of the best boxers in the world in 2009.

Salita promotions features the best young boxing prospects and established contenders from all over the world and Queen City Immigration Law is instrumental in securing visas. Salita Promotions’ world class events are viewable all over the world through networks such as Showtime, Spike Tv, ESPN, and Universal Sports Network. Salita Promotions prides itself on offering boxers  from around the world opportunities inside and outside the ring.

Most recently, some of the fighter’s coaches and managers started experiencing difficulty obtaining visitor visas to accompany fighters to the United States. After consulting with Salita promotions, we determined that the P-1S visa would be the appropriate avenue to take with the athlete’s support staff. Salita Promotions expressed concerned over being the petitioner for the visas because in boxing, the athletes are responsible for paying their corners and agents, not the promotion.

Queen City Immigration Law attorneys were able carefully articulate the structure of boxing athletes and their business relationship with cornermen and managers. Salita Promotions was able to obtain P-1S visas for both managers and trainers through the contract between the athlete and the cornerman/trainer. The petitions did not include a contract between Salita Promotions and the athlete’s support staff. The beneficiaries of the P-1S visas were able to obtain visas for 1 year and have the option to renew for up to ten years. The P-1S visas were granted to some petitioners that had their B visas cancelled.

Queen City Immigration Law looks forward to helping  more companies utilize the P-1S visa options to help athletes have all the sort necessary to be successful in their endeavors. Understanding both the needs and obstacles facing sports and athletes drives Queen City Immigration Law to find solutions that work for all parties. Please do not hesitate contact our offices to discuss options for P-1S visas for both trainers and management staff.
